Babies go through baby bibs like wall steet goes through money; and you can never have too many. Instead of spending alot of money on store bought bibs, try making your own the cheap and easy way.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Old Towel
  • Contrasting or Matching Thread or Yarn
  • Needle
  • Scissors
  • Paper for Pattern
  • Pencil or Pen
  • Velcro/Hook n Loop Tape
  1. Step 1

You will need a baby bib pattern, if you don't have one or you aren't gifted in drawing freehand that's okay, just hit the information highway (the internet) and find a free pattern to your liking. Print and cut it out. Now, gather all of your supplies and head to kitchen table, counter, floor or sewing room.

  2. Step 2

Layout your towel flat and place your pattern on top. Trace around the pattern with a marker or pen. Repeat this process until you have the entire towel covered in baby bib shapes; cut out all of the bibs. Using matching or contrasting thick thread or yarn, start sewing using a blanket stitch around all of the edges on the bib. This will give a decorative look to the bib and keep it from fraying when laundered.

  3. Step 3

Your almost done; now you will want to cut off a strip of Velcro or hook n loop tape about two inches long. On one end of the bib (the part that goes around the neck) sew on the hook part of the tape, now on opposite side sew the loop part of the tape. Viola! You have a baby bib. Repeat this process until all of the bibs are complete.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can embellish the bibs with iron on decals or with cross stitching.
  • You can sew on metal snaps instead of hook n loop if you wish.
  • Be careful when sewing so you don't poke your finger with the needle.
