Semen is a mixture of microscopic sperm cells, sugars, enzymes, mucous, and water. Seminal fluid provides nutrients and protection for the sperm, and acts as a natural lubricant during intercourse.

For men, having a high volume of semen is a mark of health and virility. Increased volume of seminal fluid can also mitigate the effects of a low sperm count.

If you or your male partner has a low volume of semen, here are some ways you can naturally increase the amount of fluid.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Start by improving your diet and drinking more water. Eat enough protein and take a multivitamin, as this helps maintain the health of your prostate, and other gonads that produce semen. Drink water to stay hydrated so your body can produce more seminal fluids.

  2. Step 2

Eat more juicy fruits, such as melons, kiwis, plums, papaya, etc. These fruits have a lot of water and mucilage that will help increase your semen volume. They also help improve the taste of semen.

  3. Step 3

Limit your ejaculations to once every one or two days. This helps your body build up a reserve of semen between acts of intercourse.

  4. Step 4

Ask your partner to stimulate your prostate gland during intercourse. This can be done by massaging the anal region, and the region between the anus and scrotum.

  5. Step 5

See your doctor if these natural methods do not increase the volume of semen. A low levels of fluid can be caused by certain medications, or can be the symptom of a more serious underlying condition.
