Would you like to save a lot of money on your car tires? Replacement and repairs can really get expensive so here's some things you can do to reduce the cost of these unavoidable expenses.

  1. Step 1

    The obvious stuff first...maintain proper air pressure. If you keep on top of this you will soon be able to just look at your tires and notice a small pressure decrease. Good quality pressure gauge is a necessity.

  2. Step 2

    Rotate your tires on a regular basis. If you find the tires are not wearing well you may have to consider an wheel alignment. Be sure to have a shop do this work that is experienced and reputable. Proper tire rotation will add thousands of miles to your tire life.

  3. Step 3

    Once your tires are worn out or unsafe contact your local automobile salvage yard. These folks have tons of nearly new tires at deep discount prices. Most of these tires came off cars totaled in a wreck, but these tires will usually be almost new...at a tremendous savings.
