PAY ATTENTION TO CHANGES IN ENERGY LEVEL.
Any drastic changes in a person's energy level should be cause for concern. Since heart disease and strokes are related, a heart that is not functioning at full strength may be a stroke symptom. One of the earliest stroke symptoms is weakness or fatigue.

PAY ATTENTION TO SENSORY CHANGES.
At the early stages of a stroke senses may have trouble registering normal data. Vision may be blurred, dizziness can occur. If these stroke symptoms happen, see your physician without delay.

LISTEN FOR SLURRED SPEECH.
One of the tell tale stroke symptoms is the beginning of slurred speech. Try to read a short passage out loud or recite familiar patterns of speech. If there is any slurring, it could be an early set of stroke symptoms.

BE ALERT TO ONE SIDED STROKE SYMPTOMS.
Since a stroke will often affect one side of the brain more than another, a one-sided set of stroke symptoms can occur. One eye lid may droop, an arm may become difficult to use, a leg can become limp, one side of the mouth may start to sag. If any of these happen, call 911 and get help immediately. Any delay could have life long consequences .
