Things You'll Need:
- iPod
- USB cable

Step 1
Connect your iPod to the computer using the supplied USB cable and launch iTunes if it does not automatically launch.

Click your iPod's icon on the left panel of the iTunes program and click the "Summary" tab.

Check on "Manually manage music and videos" or "Enable disk use" and click "Apply" to save the changes. Close iTunes. This step is only performed once and allows you to use the iPod as a hard drive. The settings will stay the same until you change them back.

Step 4
Double-click "My Computer" on the desktop in a Windows operating system. You will see your iPod's icon listed as a hard drive together with other drives on your computer. If you are using a Macintosh system, you will see your iPod's icon listed on the desktop.

Step 5
Double-click the iPod icon on either computer system to open its window and reveal the contents saved on it. Locate the photo(s) file you want to upload to the iPod and copy and paste them on the opened iPod window. You can also drag and drop the photo(s) into the iPod window to copy them to your player.
