How to Change a Ringtone on an iPhone

The iPhone comes with several preset ringtones you can use to customize your phone. In addition to a primary ringtone, the iPhone also allows you to set different ringtones for each of your contacts and download a number of ringtones for use on your iPhone.

Instructions

1. 
    
   Access the main page to change your ringtone.

   Press the "Home" button located toward the bottom of your iPhone to switch to the main interface.

   Tap the "Settings" icon. Settings is displayed with a gear icon. Tap the "Sounds" icon, and then tap the "Ringtone" icon. A list of available ringtones will be displayed. Tap the one you want.

3. 
    
   Set different ringtones for each contact.

   Assign specific ringtones to different contacts by tapping "Phone" from your main screen. Then tap "Contacts" and select a contact. Tap "Ringtone" to change the ringtone for each specific contact.
