How to Add Credit to a Cell Phone Via the Internet

If you want the convenience of a cell phone without being tied to a contract, you might want to consider a pay-as-you-go phone plan. These plans are offered by several carriers and allow you to add credit to your account and purchase more minutes as you need them. You can add credit using your carrier's Web site.

Instructions

1. Log into your account on your cell phone provider's Web site.

2. Locate and click on the option to add credit to your cell phone.

3. Choose to add credit using your credit or debit card. Many providers also allow you to buy prepaid cards to add credit to your account. If you have a prepaid minutes card, click on the option to add credit using that card.

4. Follow the instructions to add credit to your cell phone account. Depending on the type of prepaid phone you have, the credit will be used to pay for your daily access fee as well as the minutes you spend talking on the phone and the text messages you send and receive.
