Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Check to see what side your car the gas tank is located. Park your car so the gas tank side is facing the gas pump. Be sure to turn off the engine to prevent a fire.

  2. Step 2

Pull the lever in your car that makes the gas tank compartment open. It is usually to the left of the driver’s seat on the floor of the car.

  3. Step 3

Untwist the gas cap and place it on top of your car or in the space provided.

  4. Step 4

Pay by debit or credit card outside or pay cash inside to the gas attendant.

  5. Step 5

Choose the type of gas you want, example: REGULAR. Sometimes you have to lift a certain nozzle in order to chose, or just push a certain button. Take the hose and deposit it into your gas tank.

  6. Step 6

After reaching the amount of gas you desire, pull out the gas hose and place it back on the gas station. Take the cap and twist it back on, making sure it pops a few times to ensure that no air will get into the tank. Close the compartment and take your receipt.
