      1. Take the presents to the bride and grooms home! Most brides remember to have some one take the presents from the service to the reception but they forget someone has to take them from the reception to their home. Getting them out of the reception is easy tell the groomsmen that they have to carry them to the car. Then as a good friend this is where you come in. Tell the bride and groom you could help out here. Example: A friend of mine was going to a hotel for the wedding night and as they were leaving they realized no one was told to take the gifts to their house so I told them to give me the keys to their home and go enjoy the wedding night. Some other friends and I took all their presents to their house and unloaded them into the living room so they would only have to open them when they got home.

      2. Take the guest book around to every table at the reception. Most brides have a guest book attendant at the wedding. Example: I went to a wedding where the attendants were young and didn't think to go around at the reception so the mother of the bride asked me to go around to every table at the reception and make sure all the guests signed the guest book. It wasn't a lot of fun but I wanted to help my friend.

      3. When you see a need for something to be done, help out. You will see something that needs to be done and you can jump in and do it. Example: A friend of mine had a bunch of sandwich platters set out on a table for her reception. To save money they just bought a bunch of platters to set out on tables. They forgot about having anyone to change out the platters and put new ones out. My friend and I jumped in and helped to serve the reception. They didn't have anyone to serve or pick up after the party so we helped to pick up trash as well.
