Keep your eye on the ball. Try to pick up the ball as soon as possible. Look for the release point on the pitcher so you know where to look. The sooner you see the ball, the easier it is to follow the ball.

Swing with the knob first toward the pitcher. Start your swing with the knob moving toward the pitcher and then twist your body to bring the barrel through the zone as you turn your wrists slightly. This creates maximum force when hitting the ball.

Go with the pitch. If the ball is on the inside to middle part of the plate, pull the ball. If the ball is on the outside to middle part of the plate, hit the ball the other way.

Sacrifice. If there are runners in scoring position with no or one out, consider hitting behind the runners or bunting the runners along.
