Things You'll Need:
- tweezers
- scissors
- wax (optional)
- magnifying mirror
-
Step 1
Examine your eyebrows before they are shaped. Notice the natural shape and arch. The perfect eyebrow shape will accent the features of the natural shape, and not dramatically change it.
-
Step 2
Trim your eyebrows if they are overly long or thick. Take a comb and place it downward into the eyebrow. Trim any stray hairs that stick out through the comb.
-
Step 3
Locate an area in your home that has strong natural lighting and a mirror. Natural lighting will accent the natural shape of the eyebrow and stray hairs.
-
Step 4
Place a pencil vertically against your nose. Remove any eyebrow hairs that appear past the side. Also, tweeze any stray hairs located between the eyebrows to create a clean polished look.
-
Step 5
Find your natural arch. On some people it is visible without shaping, however if it is not take a pencil and find the diagonal line that goes through the center of your iris from your nose.
-
Step 6
Pluck or wax your eyebrows in a straight line from the beginning of the brow (inside area closest to the nose) until you reach the arch. If you are tweezing your brows, only remove a few eyebrow hairs at a time and check the results.
-
Step 7
Taper the brow from the arch to the outside edge. Like the previous step, remove only a few hairs at a time.
-
Step 8
Once you have finished, check your results. Remove any stray hairs left by plucking that are left behind by the waxing process if that method was used.

on 9/19/2009 HAHA - I was just cleaning up my brows! These are great tips. I hate to see someone with brows that are so overplucked that it's all you see when you look at their face. 5* and a rec.
