Things You'll Need:
- Red romper (choose one size too big for your baby/toddler). Selecting a thicker material, such as fleece, is preferred
- Black tights
- Black long sleeve turtle neck shirt or long sleeve crew neck shirt.
- Black Headband
- Black Pipe Cleaners (12"-16" long)
- 1 yard Black Fleece
- 1 white crayon or piece of white chalk
- A pair of sharp scissors
- Fabric glue or needle and thread
-
Step 1
Black FabricUsing a lid from a canister that is about the size of a Pringles brand chips can and the white crayon/chalk, trace 10 circles into your yard of black fleece. Using your sharp scissors, cut the circles out of the fabric.
-
Step 2
Circles placed sporadicallyUsing either your fabric glue or your needle and thread, attach the black circles sporadically to your red romper.
-
Step 3
Head piece...Antennae!With the headband and 2 black pipe cleaners, you are now going to create the headpiece (antennae). Leaving about 3" on one side and the rest of the pipe cleaner to the other, wrap the pipe cleaners, individually, around the headband. Secure pipe cleaner by wrapping the shorter end around the longer. Then Twist the top of the longer end of the pipe cleaner into a swirl.
-
Step 4
Dress your baby or toddler in her new costume! Make sure to take plenty of pictures!
