How to make an effective and easy bulletin board as an RA.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Butcher Block
  • Staples
  • Printer
  1. Step 1

First, use Butcher Block or thick colored paper to create a background for your board. Pick colors that mesh with each other and are aesthetically pleasing.

  2. Step 2

Create a title for your board using an ellison machine or cut the letters out individually.

  3. Step 3

Now it's time to get information for your board!
This may seem like the hardest part, but it can be relatively easy if you know where to look for information. Use a search engine to look up your topic.

  4. Step 4

This information can be easily found on web sites like www.rahelper.com or numerous other web sites online. Don't make it hard on yourself by researching information separately.

  5. Step 5

Once you have found a pre-made board (usually in the form of power-point) Print these sheets out and paste them on your board. *When putting these sheets up make sure to either cut some information out and don't just paste all of the sheets up without cutting them out or it will look like you put no effort in your work.

  6. Step 6

Use minimal staples and only use them on the larger items on your bulletin board.

  7. Step 7

Take a step back and enjoy your newly made bulletin board.

Tips & Warnings
  • Do as little work as possible while still making it appear that you have put a lot of effort into your board.
  • Make sure to cite the information on your board. NO Plagiarism!!!
