1
Write down some of the hobbies you may be interested in. If you know what you are interested in already, then you can easily do your own research and wouldn't need this how to article.
-
2
Go to a bookstore such as Borders or Barnes & Noble. Look through the magazines and jot down what looks interesting. Also take a look through the hobby books. You may also want to consider learning a new language.

3
Research each of the hobbies you find interesting. You will want to find out what the hobby costs to start and how much it will cost to continue with it. You will also want to see which ones could benefit you and which will just be a hobby that you enjoy. While hobbies can turn into a business or benefit directly, some will not for most people. Some of the hobbies that will be a direct benefit is baking and sewing - items that can contribute to your food and clothes. Other hobbies such as golf or horses may only benefit your physical well being.

4
Some hobbies may be financially out of your reach at present. Hobbies such as flying airplanes can be extremely expensive and so can horses especially if yiou have to board them out
-
5
If you want to make extra money with your hobby, that will be another deciding factor. You cold possibly make money with sewing, baking, and other crafts where you would not be as likely to make any money (at least for a long time) if you choose golf, model rockets, then the benefits may e a happy mind but less likely to bring in any money.
