A lot of women really fear developing stretch marks whenever they become pregnant. However, you should know that you can actually prevent stretch marks. Here is one way in which to prevent stretch marks.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Strengthening and toning ab exercises
  • Proper diet
  • Kegels
  • Moisturizer
  1. Step 1

In order to prevent pregnancy stretch marks you will need to make sure that you have toned and strengthened your abs before you ever get pregnant.

  2. Step 2

Make sure that you don’t gain more weight then your doctor recommends if you don’t want to get stretch marks. This is important because it will keep your skin from stretching any more than necessary.

  3. Step 3

While you are pregnant you will need to keep your abs tucked in so that you can tone your muscles here as they grow. This is different from sucking in your stomach. It is more like squeezing or clinching just these muscles. You can do this while you sit, walk or move around.

  4. Step 4

It is important to eat healthy foods while you are pregnant if you want to prevent stretch marks. You don’t want to gain weight too fast as this is one of the main reasons that stretch marks occur.

  5. Step 5

Even though you do have to be careful about exercising while you are pregnant, this is still important for your baby and it will prevent stretch marks. Talk to your doctor about what kind of exercise you can do.

  6. Step 6

Keeping your belly moisturized will also prevent stretch marks. This is especially true if your skin becomes itchy. You should use either almond oil, shea butter or cocoa butter.
