How to Make Grilled, Marinated Chicken

Flavorfull grilled chicken!

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Start with your favorite chicken: I love dark meat chicken with the skin on but boneless, skinless chicken comes in a fairly close second!

    If you have chosen to use chicken with the skin on, prick it well with a fork to help the marinade be absorbed.

    Put the chicken in a generous sized bowl.

  2. Step 2

    Pour Italian dressing over the chicken. Stir to coat, and place the bowl in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.

  3. Step 3

    Clean the grill and spray it with non-stick coating. Start the fire and let the grill heat.

    I prefer to cook on a gas grill because I find it to be very easy, but cooking over a wood fire will give more of a smoky flavor.

    I dislike cooking over charcoal because I am impatient, and cooking over charcoal that is not ready can result in a chemical flavor in the meat.

  4. Step 4

    Place the chicken on the grill, turning it occasionally, until the juices are clear when the chicken is pricked with a fork or a knife.

Tips & Warnings
  • Brush olive oil on pita bread and sprinkle with salt. Grill it next to the chicken until the bread is hot. Serve the meal with a salad on the side.
