You can create a vampire costume from items at a thrift store to save money and have fun doing it.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • fangs
  • black pants
  • ruffled blouse
  • red material
  • cape
  • halloween make-up
  1. Step 1

Chances are you already have some black pants or can find a pair cheap at the thrift store or second hand store like Goodwill.

  2. Step 2

Go to the ladies section and find a white blouse that has some ruffles or lace on it.
This will add an old fashion look the outfit because vampires are old and have lived several hundreds of years. Even men wore girlie looking shirts back in the Dark Ages.

  3. Step 3

You can cut a cape out of a party store plastic table cloth, it will probably yield 2 kid size capes.

  4. Step 4

Get a red scarf or some red material and wrap it around the waist for a cumber bun. A red accent will do a lot for the costume.

  5. Step 5

Other great details, that could complete the costume, include a gaudy large gold necklace with some mystical looking amulet on it. And of course, don’t forget the vampire fangs and facial make-up and possibly some fake blood. You can use hair gel and comb the child’s hair back to give your vampire a suave sophisticated look.
