How Do I Set Up a Free Website?
Setting up a free website is an easy process that can even be done with minimal computer knowledge. By following simple steps and visiting various free website providers and hosts, you can obtain a free domain name and a design platform for your hosting needs. Free websites are limited with a "standard" look and design, and minimal personalization. Also, "free" sites allow the company that hosts your site to place advertising on your site. Creating your own site from scratch and using a web design company gives you complete control over ads placed on your site and more flexibility in the design.

Tips & Warnings
Most free sites will give you a web address that has the first part predetermined. For instance, the free hosting site name will come first, followed by a backslash and your website's personalized name.
If you are looking for a specific domain name (ie: www.mywebsite.com), you will need to purchase that site name from a provider. To do this, do a search engine search for "purchase domain name."
