How to Make Texture on a Wall

Texture is a fine shape of a surface or the surface roughness. Images of textured walls have a wide application in video games as well as to personalize your desktop or website using a realistic-looking wall. Adobe Photoshop software allows to make a several types of textures.

Making a Brick Texture

1. 

   Launch Adobe Photoshop. and click the menu "File " and "Open." Browse your computer and find an image on which you wish to make a texture. Double-click on the file to open it.

2. Click the menu "Filters," "Texture" and "Texturizer" to open a texturizer option window.

3. 

   Choose a texture as "Brick." Set "Scaling" to 100 percent and the option "relief" to 10 using the respective slide bars. Click "OK" to make the brick texture on the wall.

4. Click the "File" menu, then "Save As." Type a filename and click "Save" to store the wall image with the texture.

Making a Sandstone Texture

1. Launch Adobe Photoshop and click the menu "File " and "Open." Browse your computer and find an image on which you wish to make a texture. Double-click on the file to open it.

2. Click the menu "Filters," "Texture" and "Texturizer" to open a texturizer option window.

3. Select a texture as "sandstone." Set "Scaling" to 150 percent and the option "relief" to 14 using the respective slide bars.

4. 

   Choose the "Light" option as "Bottom Left" using the drop-down listbox. Click "OK" to make the sandstone texture on the wall.

5. Click the "File" menu, then "Save As." Type a filename and click "Save" to store the wall image with the texture.
