How to Disable Automatic Login in Snow Leopard
The first time start your Mac computer running OS X 10.6, you are prompted to set up a local account with a username and password of your choice. By default, the computer will automatically log in with that original account each time it starts up. However, if you want to force users to manually log in to the computer, you can disable this feature in the Snow Leopard System Preferences.
