Working at a call center can be very stressful. Call center bosses can be very demanding and customers can be verbally abusive. It is easy to get up in the morning and think "I hate my call center job". Below are 4 ways to get out of the "I hate my call center job" mindset.

  1. Step 1

    Keep a Journal at your desk- Okay, so you have gotten a rotten customer on the line. He or she cursed at you and made you feel like dirt. If you want to keep your job, you can't tell them what you really think of them. However, no one can stop you from writing your thoughts down in a journal. It can be a form of therapy.

  2. Step 2

    Share your horror stories with our co-workers. If you just got off of a bad call, talk to a co-worker. No one will understand it better. Chances are, they have had a rotten call story they can share with you. In the end it will make you feel better as you know you are not alone.

  3. Step 3

    Visit Customerssuck.com- This step ties in with step 2. If you feel like you can't talk to anyone at work, customerssuck.com has a collection of bad customer stories. Reading these stories can make you feel better about the day you just had.Maybe someone had a worse day than you? It is a good site to bring some humor into your day. You need it.

  4. Step 4

    Get into the mindset that this job is only temporary. Sometimes you may feel like you are going to be doing this job for the rest of your life.
