Use an antibacterial soap before and after to prevent a hot tub rash (hot tub folliculitis) that derives from the bacterium pseudomonas aeruginosa, that is sometimes found in water conditions with improper water pH levels. A chlorine rash can sometimes be mistake for a bacterial rash because of similar symptoms. Only frequent public pools and spas that keep a record of proper pH levels. They are required by their state to do so. Ask to see them if you cannot find them posted.

Use lotion after showering to help prevent a swimming pool rash. By using a moisturizing lotion, you can help protect your skin from drying out that may become prone to skin rashes. The lotion will add moisture to your skin to keep it healthy.

Treat a chlorine rash will hydrocortisone cream. If you or a loved one show symptoms of a swimming pool rash, apply a cold compress to the areas affected from this skin condition and then apply a hydrocortisone cream to the skin rash. The hydrocortisone cream will help in relief of redness and itchiness. This skin rash that is a type of folliculitis, generally goes away on its own in 7 to 10 days.
