Weight loss isn't about just dieting pills, crash dieting, exercising or eating right foods. It's a combination of so much more and most of it is common sense.

Things You'll Need:

  • Will to lose weight
  1. Step 1

The first step to losing weight and burning extra calories is to stop sitting in front of your computer, eat healthier and dive into the world of being active, which means getting your heart racing and blood pumping!

  2. Step 2

As far as food goes, always cut back on your carbohydrates - foods high in carbohydrates get stored as fat instead of sugar. Drink up to 2400ml of water and remember for each 500ml you can increase your metabolic rate by 24%, which increases how many calories you burn per workout.

  3. Step 3

Always buy whole grain foods that contain nuts and grains - That actually slows the breakdown process and the food is stored as sugar instead of fat. Never eat less than 1200 calories per day, that's called "crash dieting" and can actually cause you to gain all the weight back very quickly.

  4. Step 4

Eat 5 meals per day. And never eat after 8pm, all that food gets stored as fat and is much harder to work off. Have a breakfast, snack, lunch, snack and then dinner. Eat more lean meat instead of Bread!

  5. Step 5

Lastly, always challenge yourself. If you go hiking through the canyon, stop at one point and a week later go further and keep doing it till you get to the end. The same goes with working out at the gym. Don't stop, go further, use more weight...It's all about balance.
