Listing an item on eBay has gotten easier then ever. The simple listing form can be used over and over again until the seller becomes comfortable to move into the advanced selling form. Follow along on this simple listing lesson. Open a second window and you will see how amazingly easy this is to do! No need to list an item for REAL right now. Today we are here to learn only, so let's get started!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

eBay Selling account
PayPal account
Internet browser with 2 windows open

Step 1

Since you are already viewing this information in this window, please open up a second window so that you can easily follow along.
Don't worry about trying to list an item for real right now. We are only going through a practice run.
If you're using Internet Explorer, open up another window by clicking on the IE icon.
If you are using Mozilla Firefox the newer version has a gray X by each tab, simply click on that and a new window will open.
If you have an older version of Firefox then go to: FILE and click on NEW TAB.
Step 2

Once you have your second window open, please have it viewing: ebay.com.
Now you can see this information in one window and the home page of eBay in a second window!

Here we go!
Step 3

Notice on the upper right hand corner of all eBay pages are the words: Buy,Sell,My eBay, Community and Help.
Please click on: SELL
And then the page will show the big blue button:
START SELLING
Step 4

Keep in mind this is ONLY a test!
We are not really going to sell anything right now.
We are only doing a walk through of the selling format.
Step 5

Select a Category! Pick-out any category just for fun.
Click the blue wording below the search box: BROWSE CATEGORIES.
Go ahead and make ANY selection!

Need an idea, click on BOOKS.
Next click on the BLUE BUTTON: Continue

Then for the subcategory click on: AUDIOBOOKS
Step 6

If you used BOOKS as I did in my example then this is the page where you COULD put in an ISBN if you were listing a book for real, but since this is only a test, go ahead and click on:
SKIP THIS STEP.
It is the small blue lettering.
Step 7

Next page is where I want you see the easy form.
The page reads: CREATE YOUR LISTING.
This is the ADVANCED listing page and for this article we are here to learn about the SIMPLE listing page.
Notice to the RIGHT of the screen, the blue lettering:
SWITCH TO SIMPLE FORM
Please click on those words and a pop-up window will appear asking you:
ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO SWITCH FORMS?
You should click on CONTINUE, which will mean YES!
Step 8

And there you have it!
Take a look at the ease of this simple listing form!
The steps and numbered and as easy as: one, two, three!
Step 9

Now, go pick out a current book from around the house with an easy to read ISBN number and give it a go!
