Rubber bands make their way to us in a variety of ways. Once they reach us, many of them end up in drawers or stuffed in small boxes and zipper bags in a cupboard. For some, however, rubber bands end up being used for a higher purpose. The rubber band ball starts small but can grow to epic proportions. A few tips can help you start one of your own.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Rubber bands
  • Paper (optional)
  1. Step 1

Lay out all of the rubber bands you have and weed out any damaged or dried-out rubber bands.

  2. Step 2

Tie a rubber band into a few knots. This will be the core of your ball. If you wish to get a head start, you can make the core by rolling up a small ball of paper.

  3. Step 3

Wrap a rubber band around the core, twisting it and looping it until the rubber band is tight.

  4. Step 4

Continue to wrap rubber bands around the core until it begins to look like a ball. It may not look like a perfect sphere until it reaches the approximate size of a ping pong ball. From there, continue to add rubber bands until you reach the desired size.
