How to Play Bachi Ball
Bocce ball, or lawn bowling, is played on a court 60 to 76 feet long and 10 to 13 feet wide. Americans sometimes refer to the game as bachi ball. A game is played by two single opponents or by two opposing teams of two or four players each. It's played with a set of eight bocce balls of the same size and weight--four of one color, four of another. You also use a smaller ball of a third color, called a pallino or jack. The object of the game is to land your bocce ball as close to the pallino as you can.
Instructions

1
Go to the end of the bocce court your team captain assigns you to.
-
2
Watch as a coin is tossed between the team captains to determine which team goes first. The winner chooses the color of his team's balls and throws the pallino.
-
-
3
Wait while the winner of the coin toss throws the pallino underhand from behind the pointing foul line. It must land over the center line, at least one foot from the backboard without hitting it. The pallino may be bounced off a sideboard but must stop at least one foot from each sideboard.

4
Observe while the same player also throws the first bocce ball underhand, from behind the pointing foul line.
-
5
Approach the pointing foul line when it is your turn to throw. Teams alternate throws.

8
Decide which team scores in the current frame. That team throws the pallino and first bocce ball in the next frame.
-
9
Determine which team scores 12 points first. That team wins the game. The first team to win two games wins a typical bocce ball match.

Tips & Warnings
Hitting or spocking may be used to move the opponent's balls or the pallino. This is a hard underhand throw aimed directly at a ball already played. Bocce balls may be bounced off sideboards or played against them.
