How to Get Stains Out of Laundry
Clothing stains ruin a garment if not quickly treated. Rinse the stained garment with cold water as soon as possible. The longer a stain sets, the harder removal will be. Use baking soda to fight stains. Baking soda will not harm the environment or humans because it occurs naturally. Special stain detergents cost from $2 to $4. Rinse the stain with cold water. Do not rub the stain. Rubbing causes the stain to spread and will grind it deeper into the fabric.

Set the article of clothing on a flat surface. Sprinkle enough baking soda to cover the stain.

Wet the toothbrush with cold water.

Gently scrub the stain with the toothbrush in a circular motion. Rinse out the baking soda. If the stain is dark or blood, repeat. Turn the garment over and sprinkle on the baking soda and scrub with the toothbrush. Rinse out.

Sprinkle enough baking soda to cover the stain one more time. Use the toothbrush to brush it in.

Put in the washing machine and use detergent. Do not add bleach.

After the wash is done, check the stain. Wash again if the stain is still there.

Dry once the stain is gone. Drying sets stain, making it impossible to remove.
