1
Avoid daily shampooing. Frizzy hair tends to be dry hair, and dryness leads to frizz. Limit washing your hair to three times per week at most.
-
2
Smooth the cuticle by rinsing your hair with cold vinegar water. Vinegar has the added benefit of creating the proper pH balance for your hair.
-
-
3
Pat hair dry with a microfiber towel. Deva Concepts indicates that most regular towels are too heavy and absorbent, which ruffles the hair cuticles.
-
4
Deep condition your hair once a week to help it retain moisture.
-
5
Use a conditioner made specifically for curly hair.
-
6
Apply a leave-in conditioner to your hair after you get out of the shower. Then apply a hair smoothing serum or a styling product for curly hair such as gel or mousse.
-
7
Allow your hair to air dry for 15 minutes or more. Then if you need volume or lift, use a diffuser attachment with your blow dryer.
