How to Kill Termites Safely
Termites can be a home owners worst enemy. Termite infestation can last for years and if not treated properly can cause serious structural damage to your home. My friend worked in the pest control industry and whenever someone found out what he did for a living we always heard the same questions over and over. "How do you kill termites?" Or "How do I get rid of termites?" Well the truth is there is no easy way. Even though they sell ton's of insecticides and pesticides for termite pest control, eliminating your entire infestation with these products is always almost impossible. Even though pesticides kill termites on contact, you are probably only dealing with a small portion of your problem. But even having a professional exterminator spray those harmful chemicals to kill termites can be harmful for your children and pets. No one likes to spray poison around their house. Here are a few tips to help you kill termites safely and naturally. Does this Spark an idea?

Determine if you have a serious termite problem. Sometimes termites might just be eating a little hand rail or piece of your deck. This can easily be controlled by a little boric acid found at your local pharmacy or drug store. Look for little pellets normally found in piles around your house. They look like tiny grains of sand. These are the byproducts or termites eating your wood. If you start to see large piles in different areas of your house, there's a good chance that you have a pretty serious termite problem. Also try tapping on different areas of the wood. Areas that sound hollow or soft have probably been eaten out by termites.
