How to Make Printable Halloween Invitations

By creating your own printable Halloween invitations, you can save money while giving the invitations a more personal touch. Knowing the steps to make your own printable Halloween invitations will allow you more time to be creative with other aspects of the party.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Word processing program
  • Halloween clip art
  • Halloween fonts
  • Card stock or heavyweight paper
  • Color printer
  1. Step 1

    Open your word processing program and open the page setup option. Select landscape mode for your page orientation and apply. Select column setup, located under the format menu, and select two.

  2. Step 2

    Hold the Ctrl, Shift and Enter keys to position the cursor into the right-hand column of your document. Insert Halloween clip art and use Halloween themed fonts to design the front of your invitation. Change the color of fonts or use word art features to create a more appealing Halloween invitation.

  3. Step 3

    Hold the Ctrl and Enter keys to move to the first column of the second page of your document. This panel will print on the inside of the cover of the invitation. Insert information or add additional graphics.

  4. Step 4

    Hold the Ctrl, Shift and Enter keys to move to the second column of the second page of the document. This panel will print on the inside back of your invitation. In this panel, write the time, date and location of the Halloween party along with any graphics. Use fonts that are easy to read.

  5. Step 5

    Print only the first page of the document onto card stock or heavyweight paper.

  6. Step 6

    Reload the printed sheet face down into the printer and print only the second page of the Halloween invitation.

  7. Step 7

    Fold the sheet in half to check for correct alignment and positioning and alignment of each panel of information. Make adjustments as necessary before printing the remaining invitations.

Tips & Warnings
  • Conserve paper by creating the entire invitation on a single column and duplicating the information to the second column using the copy and paste function. Cut sheets of paper in half to create two invitations.
