How to Build a Goose Blind Out of Corn Stalks
Goose hunting is a challenging and rewarding sport. No other sport demands weeks and months of preparation for a few seconds of heart-stopping action. Part of the preparation involved with goose hunting is preparing a blind or some type of shelter to hide in while awaiting the arrival of your prey. An appropriate and well designed goose blind can be made out of old cornstalks and will be especially effective in cornfields or wide open fields of hay.

1
Use the PVC piping and connectors to assemble a rectangular or square frame approximately 12 feet long by 6 feet wide by 4 feet tall. Connect 12-foot lengths of piping with a 90-degree T connector, then use sections of 6-foot pipe and 4-foot pipe to connect the T's together, forming a frame. Place the frame in a location that will attract geese, such as a cut cornfield.

2
Stand the cornstalks up against the PVC framing and use the wire and pliers to secure the stalks to the top and bottom sections of piping. Make sure to tightly bunch the stalks together to create a completely solid wall on all four sides of the goose blind.

Leave a door opening wide enough to walk through in the rear portion of the blind and slide the bench inside. You can sit on the bench inside the blind and call as you await the geese. When the geese land, you can then stand up straight and you will have full range of motion to swing your gun.

Tips & Warnings
Be sure to clearly mark your blind if you are hunting in a field with other hunters. You do not want to be mistaken for open field and risk being shot at.
