How to Make Sage Soap
Making soap at home is an entertaining and rewarding hobby. There are so many colors and additives to try that making your homemade soap unique and special is quite easy. Making sage soap is no different. You just need a few ingredients to make this wonderful smelling soap, which also acts as a mild abrasive to slough off dead skin.

Things You'll Need
- White bar soap (unscented)
- Cheese grater
- Measuring cup
- Microwave
- Spoon
- Sage
- Green soap coloring
- Soap mold

Grate your bar soap.

Scoop the soap shavings into your measuring cup and place in the microwave.

Microwave on high for 30 seconds. If the soap is not fully melted, microwave in 15 second increments until melted.

Stir the melted soap with your spoon.

Add your sage directly to the melted soap and stir well. Use as much sage as you like--the more you use, the stronger the smell.

Add a few drops of green soap coloring and stir well.

Pour the soap into the mold and allow to cool for several hours. Pop the soap out of the mold once it is completely cooled. Enjoy.

Tips & Warnings
You can purchase specialty sage in the soap section of your craft store, or you can use store-bought sage from the grocery store. You can purchase white soap in your craft store, or purchase regular white soap (body soap) at many stores.
Be careful when handling hot soap. It can burn your skin.
