How to Pick a Good Etsy Shop Name
There's a good amount of pressure tied into creating a perfect name for your Etsy store. First, you can't change your store name once it's been created because your store name is also your user name. Additionally, prospective buyers will come across your store name as they're shopping, meaning that a misleading name may hurt your business. If your shop is a book, your Etsy name is the cover, so it's essential to make a good first impression.

1
Brainstorm several words that pertain to your business. These words could describe the product you make or sell, such as artwork, jewelry, toys, handbags or home décor. You can also use abstract words that convey a mood; wacky, cheerful, gothic or vintage are all examples of abstract words.

2
Browse through featured stores and other successful Etsy shops and study their names. Determine which ones are the most memorable to you, and why. For example, are they easy to read and pronounce or do they have a catchy ring to them?

3
Select a name that will help shoppers find what they're looking for. A shop that sells jewelry and has the word "jewelry" in the store name is more likely to show up on search engines than a more abstract name. However, don't be too specific, especially if you intend to sell different types of items in the future. For example, don't name your store "SaraHandbags" if you plan to sell quilts later on.

4
Separate words within your shop name by using capital letters. You aren't allowed to use spaces in your user name, so placing a capital letter at the start of each word helps your name read smoothly. Along the same lines, ensure that your words read well together and don't sound awkward or jerky.
