How to Create a Free Yahoo! Email Account

A free email account will allow you to communicate with family members, friends and co-workers. Yahoo email is a basic service that is ideal for users that are new to email. Those that sign up for a free Yahoo email account will also have the option of playing games found on Yahoo Games as well as taking part in fantasy sports run by Yahoo. Creating a free Yahoo email account consists of filling out one page of information and shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes to finish.

Instructions

1. Go to the Yahoo email account page.

2. Fill out your personal information in the "Step 1" portion of the page. You will enter your name, gender, birth date and location (country and postal code).

3. Type in the Yahoo email ID information in step 2. Enter the Yahoo name you'd like to use and the password for the account.

4. Enter the security information located in step 3. Type in an alternate email address if you have one. Then, choose two security questions from the options listed in the drop box. You must then type the answers in the text boxes located underneath the drop boxes.

5. Type in the security code found near the bottom of the Yahoo page.

6. Agree to the Yahoo terms by clicking the box at the bottom of the Web page.

7. Click "Create My Account." A confirmation page will open. Click "Continue" and you will be redirected to your new free Yahoo email account.
