Things You'll Need:
- 2 avocados, peeled with seed removed
- 1/2 onion minced
- 1 lime
- 1/2 clove garlic minced
- 1 jalapeno (small)
- 1/4 cup cilantro minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
-
Step 1
In a big kitchen bowl, add your avocados that have been peeled and the seeds removed. You can scoop out the avocado pulp with a large spoon. A nice ripe avocado will make the best guacomole.
-
Step 2
Add your minced onion. I like to use a regular white onion and mince it nice and small. You don't want big chunks of onion in your dip.
-
Step 3
Add the minced garlic clove.
-
Step 4
Add the minced jalapeno to the dip.
-
Step 5
Add minced cilantro.
-
Step 6
Take your lime and squeeze the juice into the dip. Using fresh lime juice really brings a kick to the guacamole.
-
Step 7
Add about a teaspoon of salt and pepper. Drizzle mixture with olive oil.
-
Step 8
Take a potato masher and mix up the guacamole. Now you're ready to serve!

on 9/10/2009 You can definitely remove the jalapeno seeds - at is where most of the heat comes from. However, if you have spicier tastes...leave them in!
