Things You'll Need:
- 2 yards of fabric, cut into two separate 1-yard pieces
- scissors
- sewing machine
- 1 spool of thread (in color to match your fabric)
- 4 to 6 baby pins
- 1 package of batting or quilt filler
- Fabric marker
-
Step 1
Place your two separate fabric pieces on top of one another with the pattern facing inwards. The patterned parts will be touching in the middle. Using the baby pins, hold the pieces together so they do not move.
-
Step 2
Sew both pieces of fabric together using a sewing machine, leaving one 3/4-inch portion on the side unsewn.
-
Step 3
Measuring 16 inches from the bottom of the longest side of the fabric, draw two squares approximately 6 inches by 6 inches about 2 inches apart from one another using the fabric marker.
-
Step 4
Cut the holes out, exposing two sections for leg holes and sew the sides together.
-
Step 5
Turn the fabric inside out through the unsewn hole, exposing the pattern to the outside.
-
Step 6
Stuff the batting or quilt filler into the sewn fabric through the unsewn hole. You can make this as thick or thin as you would like.
-
Step 7
Return to the sewing machine and close up the hole.
