How to Check Property Deed Information in Wise County, Texas

Property records such as property deed information are a matter of public record and therefore are accessible to the general public. Many counties in the United States have this information digitized and available for public search on their websites. However Wise County, Texas, does not. But there are commercial websites that have collected this information and make it available for a fee and sometimes for free.

Instructions

1. Search for a commercial website that provides property records that you feel comfortable with. Texas Land Records is both a free and paid service. One-time personal searches are free, but you pay a fee to print out a document.

2. Register to use the website. Even though some of these sites are free, you may have to register and obtain a password to use the site, especially if you need to print or download documents.

3. If you are using Texas Land Records (see Resources for a direct link), click on the link at the top of the page for a free search. This will take you to a page with a list of Texas counties. Pick Wise County. You will then be taken to a page with a Wise County banner. Follow the free-search link at the top and this will take you to a search page that allows you to search by grantor/grantee name or document type (if you have the document number).
