      There are several pathways you can follow to become a nutritionist, however, the basic requirement is to finish high-school you are still in high school and have decided to become a nutritionist, then it's recommended to take classes such as chemistry, biology, anatomy and English.

      The minimum requirement to become a nutritionist is to earn an associate degree in nutrition. To earn an associate degree in nutrition, you have to complete 60 credits, including the prerequisites. The entire program can be finished in as little as two years.

      The next step would be to transfer your credits to a university, and in another two years, earn a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition.However,this is optional, but a bachelor's degree usually offers more advancement opportunities and a better pay.

      No matter what training path you choose, either associate of science in nutrition or bachelor of science in nutrition, after graduation you must become either licensed, certified, or registered, depending on your state requirements. However, it's better to become a registered dietician even if your state doesn't require it.
