How to Change Margins in WordPad
There are two methods for changing margins in WordPad. Using the page setup will allow you to change any of the four margins, while using the ruler will only allow you to change the left margin.

Open the page setup window. Do this by clicking on "File," then on page "Setup." The page setup window will open.

Enter the new margin sizes in the appropriate fields. There are four boxes for setting your margins in the bottom right corner . They are labeled left, right, top and bottom. Simply type in the size of the margins you desire. Note that the unit of measure will be indicated in parenthesis, next to the word margins.

To change the left margin only, drag the margin indicator on the ruler. The ruler is located at the top of the page. If you don't see it, click on "View," and click on "Ruler." You should now see the ruler at the top of your screen. To change the left margin, click on the small square that is located directly under the hour-glass at the left-hand margin. Drag the square to the desired left margin.
