Instructions

    • 1

Determine what type of fruit juice you would like to make and purchase fresh fruit. Choose the highest quality fruit to make the best fruit juice. Check your local farmer's market for locally grown fruit.

    • 2

Wash the fruit thoroughly. Use the paring knife or peeler to peel the skin from the fruit. Cut the fruit in halves or quarters and remove the seeds or pit.

    • 3

Place a container underneath the juicer's spout. Feed the fruit pieces through your juicer. Turn the crank if your juicer is manually driven.

    • 4

Strain the fruit juice through a colander if you want to filter out the pulp. If you enjoy the pulp, drink the juice without filtering.

Tips & Warnings

  • Homemade fruit juice does not contain artificial ingredients or preservatives. While this makes it a healthier choice, it does mean it won't last as long. Only plan on making enough juice to last through the day. Electric juicers are more efficient than manual juicers; the blades spin much faster than you can crank. Blend different fruits together to make a tasty combination juice. Combine your fresh fruit juice and a few ice cubes in a blender to make a tasty homemade smoothie.
