How to Make Chicken Salad Using Packaged Ranch Mix

A great midday meal, chicken salad can be served cool on a bed of lettuce or put into a sandwich. You can quickly and easily make great tasting chicken salad using packaged ranch mix. Precook your chicken ahead of time and allow it to cool or use leftover chicken from the night before to create this simple dish that is sure to please. Things You'll Need

  • Pineapple chunks, 20 ounce can
  • Measuring cup
  • Large bowl and small bowl
  • 2 cups cubed chicken
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • Spoon
  • 1 ounce packet of ranch seasoning mix/salad dressing mix
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise

      Open the can of pineapple chunks and pour the juice off into the measuring cup. Put the pineapple chunks into the large bowl.

      Add the chicken and celery to the pineapple chunks and mix together. Set the chicken mix to the side.

      In the small bowl, combine 1/4 cup of the pineapple juice, the mayonnaise and the whole packet of seasoning mix. Mix well.

      Add the dressing mixture to the chicken bowl and stir well to ensure all the chicken, pineapple and celery are well coated.

      Cover and chill the chicken salad in your fridge for no less than an hour. Once chilled, you are ready to serve.
