How to Get Rid of the Yahoo Toolbar

Yahoo Toolbar is an add-on for Web browsers. This program can be used to search the Internet without having to visit Yahoo, Google or any similar search-oriented website. You may be experiencing problems with Yahoo Toolbar or you may just not like this addition to the Web browsers. In these instances, you can choose to disable the toolbar. In order to completely get rid of Yahoo Toolbar, though, you must delete this add-on from your computer.

Instructions

    Using Control Panel

  1. Step 1

    Close your Web browser.

  2. Step 2

    Click "Start" in the taskbar.

  3. Step 3

    Open "Control Panel."

  4. Step 4

    Select "Add or Remove Programs."

  5. Step 5

    Scroll down to the very bottom of the list of programs. There, you will find Yahoo Toolbar.

  6. Step 6

    Click Yahoo Toolbar. Then, click on the "Remove" button in order to get rid of Yahoo Toolbar. Restart your computer when this process concludes.

  7. Using Firefox

  8. Step 1

    Open Firefox. Click "Tools."

  9. Step 2

    Select "Add-ons." A window will open.

  10. Step 3

    Scroll through the list of Add-ons until you locate Yahoo Toolbar. Click Yahoo Toolbar and three buttons will appear.

  11. Step 4

    Click "Uninstall" to get rid of the toolbar.

  12. Step 5

    Restart Firefox. Yahoo Toolbar will be uninstalled.
