Archery targets come in many sizes, shapes and colors. Targets can be very expensive to purchase, so making your own is an inexpensive alternative.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Make a template on a piece of paper. Decide how wide you want the target to be and trace a circle on paper, then cut it out.

  2. Step 2

Lay the template on some old carpet and cardboard and cut out 10 circular pieces of each.

  3. Step 3

Layer the carpet and cardboard pieces, alternating between the two. Apply glue to each layer.

  4. Step 4

Punch holes with a knife through all the layers around the entire circle. Weave cord it in and out of the holes and tie it tightly.

  5. Step 5

Set the target on a tripod. Tripods made specifically for archery targets are available at sporting-goods stores for about $65 to $100. Or you can make your own.

  6. Step 6

Paint a bull's-eye on a piece of paper and attach it to the target.
