Pad Thai is one of the most popular items on the Thai Menu.You make it at home and it's never quite the same as the Thai Restaurants. Follow these steps and you will soon be the Pad Thai Master Chef! Everyone has varations on Pad Thai recipes, here is one of the most common. Throw out the cook books it's hands on time.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Rice Stick noodle
  • Chicken Breast or Tofu squares
  • Green Onions
  • Bean Sprouts
  • Roasted peanuts
  • Garlic clove
  • Fish Sauce
  • Pad Thai Sauce
  • Wok
  • lime
  • Carrots
  • 1 egg
  1. Step 1

    Buy fresh ingredient.Prepare yourself, you are going to make something Yummy!

  2. Step 2

    All these items can be found at most large grocery stores in the asian section or goto your local Thai/Chinese market.

  3. Step 3

    Take out your Rice Stick Noodles and soak them in some warm water for about 30 mins, They need to be soft but a little firm. Strain them and leave them on the side.

    Crush half a cup of Dry Roasted Peanuts in a mortor, or like before I had a mortar I put them in a ziplock bag and smashed them with a can of chicken noodle soup. I leave this choice up to you. This might be a good time to unleash some pent up aggression.

    Take Green Onions and slice them good, mince your Garlic Clove.

    Cut your half of a chicken breast into bite size chicken chunks or Tofu Squares.

  7. Step 7

    Oil your wok with Corn oil, Let me make this clear CORN oil. Why? Because corn oil burns the hottest and it doesn't start smoking like other oils.

  8. Step 8

    Throw a Drop of water into the Wok, Did it EXPLODE? Your Wok is hot enough baby! Let's Stir Fry.

  9. Step 9

    This is going to be face paced so try and keep up, throw in your garlic and onions. give them about 30 seconds. Trick in stir frying is the timing, you need to become Ninja.

  10. Step 10

    Break your egg in the middle of the wok, scramble it and mix it in Now Add the chicken.You can also use Tofu Squares if you don't want chicken.

    Mix them like the wind.They call it stir fry for a reason not watch your food burn.Once your chicken looks cook push it the side of the wok, it's much cooler there.

    Open your Pad Thai Sauce because it's noodle time.

    I hope your noodles are not too soft. Throw them in with your pad thai sauce. Mix them real good. The noodles should be a good brown color, Add more sauce if they still look white. put a handful some bean sprouts in there.

  14. Step 14

    It should really be smelling good now, Add some crushed peanuts and crushed red pepper if you like it spicy. Squeeze half a lime into the mix.

  15. Step 15

    Add a few splashes of fish Sauce, Careful this stuff is packed with SALT.

  16. Step 16

    Garnish with fresh bean sprouts and carrot slivers. Serve with fresh vegiies and half a lime for seasoning. Put rest of crushed peanuts on top or side of dish.

  • don't use too much fish sauce
