Mafia Wars is a very popular online game where players join a family and then fight other players and do certain jobs to earn money. As you advance up the levels in Mafia Wars, you are able to unlock more job levels that pay more money. You can also receive loot items from doing jobs. Therefore, one of the keys to the game for players is learning how to do more Mafia Wars jobs. Since energy is required to do jobs, players should learn how to manage their energy packs or use less energy for doing jobs. Energy is refilled as you advance to the next level.

Using boosts will allow players to do certain jobs by using less energy. For instance, a cappuccino boost, which players can earn by collecting one of each item in the Heart Collection, enables players to use less energy when they do a job.
Accept the cappuccino boost by clicking the boost box next to the Heart Collection. When you do a job that costs you 46 energy points, you will only use 43 points because you have your boost. The same process works for each type of boost.

Accept energy packs from others in your family. When you accept and use an energy pack, your energy increases by 25 percent. You can only receive one energy pack a day, and it expires after 24 hours. When you receive an energy pack, gift an energy pack back to your family. This keeps energy flowing through the family and will usually come back to you.

Check your profile page to see how many experience points you need to advance to the next level. Remember, when you advance to the next level, your energy is restored.
If you use an energy pack and you are almost to the next level, you will waste any remaining energy when you level up. Energy is not restored from the amount you have on the board; it is restored back to your original amount plus 25 percent, so don't waste this precious energy.

Earn skill points by finishing job categories or advancing through the levels. Each skill point can be used to purchase attack or defense skills, stamina or energy. Using these skill points to increase level early in the game allows players to do more jobs and earn more money. This money can be used to purchase property, weapons and vehicles.

Earn bonus points by asking family members to help you with a job. If you get a notification that a job is eligible for a job bonus, you can accept and publish the notice to your wall. Then your family will be alerted that you have an open job and will likely rush to help you with the job. After the job is complete, you earn money and experience points. These can be substantial depending on the job itself. More experience points helps you to advance to the next level where your energy will be restored.
