1
Decide on a face. There are many kinds of masks you can make yourself. You just have to be able to draw it. If you don't draw well, there are many Internet websites that offer free printable templates of mask faces. One great site is http://www.enchantedlearning.com/crafts/Mask.shtml. On this site you can find a pig, dog, lion, cat or Koala.

Trace the outline of your mask face on an appropriately colored foam sheet. Cut the shape out with scissors. Measure the mask on the face of the child who will be wearing it and mark with a pencil where the eyes, nose and mouth need to be. Cut eye holes out, a triangle hole for the nose and an oval shape where the mouth should be.

To make the nose draw a half circle, approximately 3 inches long on a piece of foam and cut it out. Place the half circle over the hole you cut out for your nose. It should arch over the top of the hole creating an overhang above the nose. Use a needle and thread to attach this part securely. Attach any other nose décor to this half circle.
