How to Make Homemade Pumpkin Seeds

Instead of buying a small package of raw pumpkin seeds, save money and buy a whole pumpkin. You can literally dig out hundreds of seeds for a homemade treat. Does this Spark an idea?

  • Knife
  • Large bowl
  • Baking sheet
  • Oil
  • Salt

Instructions

      You can buy a pumpkin any time of the year, but you can find a better deal closer to Halloween.

      Cut out the stem and scrape the pulp into a large bowl.

    • 3

      Separate the seeds from the pulp and rinse.

    • 4

      Allow the seeds to dry.

    Baking your pumpkin seeds

      Set your oven to 325 degrees F. Lightly oil a baking sheet.

    • 6

      Rub the dried pumpkin seeds around the baking sheet to coat them with the oil and sprinkle them with salt.

      Bake for 25 minutes, flipping them over after the first 10 minutes. Let cool before snacking.
