How to Set Up a Total Gym 1500

The Total Gym 1500 will give you the option of exercising in the comfort of your home at your own pace. Once it is set up, you can be on your way to strengthening and toning muscles in both your upper and lower body. After you've finished your workout, it folds away for convenient storage

  • Place the Total Gym flat on the floor, ensuring there is space on all sides for assembly. Slide the glideboard towards the crossbar, until it can go no further.

  • Spread the unit open by raising the exerciser. It should rest on both the front and back crossbars.

  • Support the frame in the center. Hold the frame from one edge, then slowly pull the frame apart until it is flat

  • Locate the knob handle on the left rail in order to release the spring-loaded pin.
    Hold the spring-loaded pin, and pull the vertical adjustment column until it is in an upright position. Release the spring-loaded pin. You will hear a sound indicating it is locked into position.

  • Place one foot on the back crossbar to prevent it from lifting up, and slide the rails up the height adjustment column by placing one hand on either the right/left rail. Line up the hole on the lowest position of the height adjustment column and insert the height adjustment "C" pin from the back. Push it down to ensure it locked securely.

Tips & Warnings

  • Inspect your Total Gym 1500 prior to each use.
  • To prevent injury, make sure the height adjustment pin is fitted securely. Only use the Total Gym 1500 on a carpeted surface. When assembling be careful not to trap your hair, loose clothing or fingers in the hinges.
