Thanks to the Internet, finding a Vietnam veteran is not as difficult as it once was. Whether you have extensive details about the veteran, or only know the veteran's company number and service time, there's a good possibility of tracking down any Vietnam veteran.

  1. Step 1

    Ascertain all the vital information of the person you are searching for, including first and last name, division of the Armed Services, company number, station, years of service and deployment.

  2. Step 2

    Go to http://www.vietvet.org/lostfnd.htm and click on the Automatic Listing form.

  3. Step 3

    Fill out the listing as thoroughly as possible. Upload a picture of the veteran you're looking for, if possible. Add your contact information, including phone, email and address.

  4. Step 4

    Scroll the listings under the Armed Forces section in which the veteran is listed. The veteran you're looking for may be searching for you as well. Or, via the listings, you may find someone who has information about the veteran.
