How to Make Your Own Christmas Party Favors

Instead of buying expensive party favors for your Christmas party, consider making your own. Not only might this choice be more economical than purchasing party favors, but homemade party favors have the added benefit of giving a personal touch to your party. They are often fun to make, too. Choose one type of favor to give to all of your guests, or go all out and create several different party favors for your guests to choose from.

1. Consider the theme of the party and the ages of your guests. If the Christmas party is for children, you will need to choose party favors that are appealing to kids, such as sweet food items. If the party is for adults, you will need more adult-oriented party favors, such as pretty ornaments.

2. Set a budget. Determining how much you can spend is paramount in deciding on the design of and materials used in your party favors.

3. Create a plan. Decide on what party favors you will be making. To get some ideas, visit a local craft store or think about recent parties you've been to and what favors you received. Perhaps some of your favorite party favors from past parties can be modified to complement a Christmas theme.
